We have a new addition to our DIY team this week. Brennan's mom has flown out from Colorado for a week to help with painting.
She has single handedly painted the Living Room and the staircase walls going up and down. It looks great! So much better than the shiny white paint that was on the walls. Paint makes such a difference and really makes a room for more cozy. Especially when you are painting it something other than white, in my opinion.
The paint in the Living Room is a khaki color that Brennan's Mom and I mixed together using different beige colors we got at a recycle center in California. People drop off paint that is barely used and you can go to the center and get up to five items. That is how I got all my paint for the interior of the house. FREE!
So we just mixed a bunch of beige colors together in low sheens into a 5-gallon bucket and made my Living Room and Hallway color. I really like it. It makes the house feel so much more cozy.
